Another Catholic family is raided by the FBI

Here is what’s going on: According to his father, Jeremiah Rufini, the FBI surveilled a Catholic teenager who posted "offensive memes" on internet group chats before raiding his family's Connecticut home. Rufini stated on a fundraising page that this resulted in charges against family members and a state-level probe.

Capture: According to Rufini, his 15-year-old son participated in "group chats targeting teenage traditionalist Catholics with extreme political content" in private. According to Rufini, people questioned the youngster "if he had access to guns" and requested for images of the family's weapons. The father thinks the conversations might have been "operated" by government agents.

The assault: According to Rufini, "We were handcuffed, locked in a van, and dragged out of our home at gunpoint while [the FBI] searched our home." Although the bureau "lost interest" in the youngster and could not find any indication that he would commit violence, Rufini claims the case led to more state-level inquiries. According to the family's fundraising page, paying bills has become difficult due to legal expenditures.
