💰 In 2023, Trump paid $50 million for legal bills. Due to four indictments on matters about the 2020 election and his business activities, likely GOP nominee Donald Trump was compelled to use a political action committee (PAC) to spend about $50 million on legal fees. To put things in perspective, Nikki Haley, his lone rival, raised the same amount of money in 2023. It's possible that before the election, none of the four indictments were tried.

🗳 Trump is winning seven swing states against Biden. According to a recent poll, Trump is leading Biden in seven swing states—all of which will be crucial come November. Except for North Carolina, Biden won states in 2016: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. As of now, polls indicate that Trump is ahead in each one.

👶 Life advocacy organizations prepare for Trump II. Should Trump win reelection to the presidency, pro-life organizations are getting ready to implement a slew of laws, regulations, and executive orders. Certain laws, like the "Mexico City policy," which prohibits foreign funding from being used for abortions, are outdated. A new rule that would penalize internet abortion clinics that sell pills in states where abortion is prohibited is one of the other new policies.

📈 In South Carolina, Trump is leading Haley by a margin of 26 points. Although the GOP primary in South Carolina is supposed to take place at the end of February, it appears to be settled already. According to a recent poll, Trump leads Haley, who served as governor of the state from 2011 to 2017, by 26%. Given that Trump has already won the first two big contests and is expected to win Nevada's caucus on February 6th, this is possibly Haley's last shot to secure the nomination.

🔵 Democrats organize an Obama-Clinton fundraiser. The current President, along with Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, will be present at a fundraiser organized by the Biden campaign. Former presidents have never gathered in one place for political fundraising, even though they frequently do so to collect money for charities. This would be the first of its kind gathering. It was stated that the speed with which Trump completed his GOP nomination process caught Biden's campaign team off guard.

Democrats, what will they do if Trump wins again?

Here is what's going on: Democrats are fully committed to their campaign theme, which paints former President Donald Trump as a potential autocrat who, should he seize back control, may bring an end to democracy. How are they going to stop this? Take a look at the extreme, Biden-affiliated conversations that took place before the most recent presidential election.

Introducing the players: Midway through 2020, a group of campaign leaders, think tank specialists and current and former government officials played "war games" to get ready for extreme Trump-related scenarios.

• What they predicted: The "bipartisan" group Transition Integrity Project (TIP) justified harsh reactions to Trump's threat by predicting that a contested election may result in a constitutional crisis and even bloodshed.

• No holds allowed: TIP concluded that "technocratic solutions, courts, and a reliance on elites observing norms are not the answer here" and that "this may well be a street fight, not a legal battle."

The Biden Confederacy: According to one scenario, former Hillary Clinton campaign member John Podesta encouraged blue states to threaten secession if Trump won by posing as Joe Biden. Democrats may use these illegal tactics "out of perceived self-defense," according to TIP. Podesta currently serves as the president's top environmental policy advisor.

Why it is important: According to the liberal establishment, Trump is a greater menace than ever and is responsible for a violent "insurrection." The left has shown its willingness to tamper with democracy to "save it" through ballot challenge campaigns. The idea that Trump might obliterate America as we know it could spur unbounded fervor to oppose him.

In Texas, Soros plays the long game

Here is what's going on: To make Texas blue again, billionaire George Soros is sending cheques to Democrats in the state. Although he wants the state to support Joe Biden in the upcoming presidential contest, his most recent financial attack appears to be part of a larger plan.

• Why it is important: This year, Texas won't turn blue. However, Soros's expenditures enable two outcomes. It forces the GOP to spend money in Texas in the short term, taking funds away from other elections that are more important. In the long term, Soros is creating networks for competing in future campaigns.

Demographic shifts: The fact that Hispanics now outnumber Whites is one factor giving Democrats newfound optimism for capturing Texas. Though many more have recently moved there, a significant portion of the population is Hispanic. Although illegal immigrants are not allowed to vote, their offspring who were born in the United States will be able to.

• The specifics: Rather than donating to the state party centrally, Soros is directing his six-figure sums of money to Democrat institutions at the county level. They can support the development of Democratic operations for many years to come because finances are obtained locally in important parts of the state.

GOP's reaction? After controlling the state for decades, the Texas GOP is well-funded; Governor Greg Abbott raised $19 million in revenue last year. He is participating in more than a dozen state legislature primary elections thanks to his large financial excess. Soros can write big checks, but his money won't matter much just yet.
