📊 Swing-state polls are to Trump's advantage. A recent poll indicates that Trump is likely to be reelected in five of the six competitive states that Biden won in 2020. In all six states, Biden's lead among Hispanics and those under 30 is in the single digits, while a startling 22% of black voters support Trump. Concerns about immigration, the economy, and foreign policy caused voters to express anger with Biden. (Times of New York)

🇵🇸 Radical pro-Palestinian demonstrators in Washington, DC. On Saturday, thousands of people flocked to Washington, DC, to call for a "ceasefire" in Gaza. They also defaced American monuments and shouted "Long live the Intifada," a reference to past attacks on Jews. Even the White House security fence was climbed by one protestor. Despite these facts and the fact that the vandalism resulted in at least one arrest, ABC News refers to the event as a "peaceful march." (New York Post, ABC News, Fox News)

🗳️Important elections are taking place tomorrow. In an effort to establish a GOP majority in the state legislature, Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin is stumping for candidates running for state legislature in tomorrow's election. In the meanwhile, Ohio voters will choose whether to accept a state constitution that grants a broad right to abortion. Mississippi and Kentucky will also host very competitive gubernatorial contests. (Time, Fox, NBC, Wall Street Journal, and Time)

🚨 According to US police, an illegal immigrant plotted a terror strike. In Houston, Texas, a Jordanian man who entered the country illegally in 2019 was detained and accused of possessing an illegal handgun; but, according to federal officials, his offenses may have been more serious. The Department of Justice claims that the migrant learned how to construct explosives and received weapon training in order to "possibly commit an attack" against Jews. The West Bank's Deteriorating Situation

Here is what's going on: Extremist Jewish settlers in the West Bank are using unprecedented levels of violence against Palestinians, while Israel battles Hamas in Gaza.

Recap: Prior to October 7, there had been the highest level of violence in the West Bank since the early 2000s. Terrorists from Palestine started shooting on a regular basis. Regular raids by the Israeli military to avert further strikes frequently exacerbated tensions.

  • Then: Extremist Jews within the settler movement retaliated against terror attacks targeting Israeli forces and civilians by carrying out their own attacks, which included killing a civilian and burning Palestinian cars and homes on fire.

  • Price tag: These "price tag" attacks include lighting automobiles and homes on fire, which have occasionally led in fatalities.

Presently: There have been multiple accounts of attacks by Jewish settlers with the deliberate goal of killing Palestinians since Hamas' terror strike on October 7. Eight Palestinians have been killed by settlers, two of them were allegedly killed in an ambush that happened during a burial.

  • Not only have there been physical attacks, but there have also been threats of attacks and forced relocation. Some have fled what amounts to a form of physiological warfare on innocent people.

Reaction: The IDF declares that it is looking into the homicides. "They're attacking Palestinians in places they have a right to be," said President Joe Biden. It must end right away.

What comes next: It is unclear if the Israeli army or police would take any further action to stop violent incidents and punish offenders in order to deter future incidents. The situation will only become worse if they don't.

The peculiar AI plan of the White House

Here is what's going on: The Biden administration is focusing on "equity" while other countries are trying to stay up with the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence.

Why it's important: According to Goldman Sachs, AI technology may replace over 300 million jobs worldwide and a quarter of labor-intensive jobs in the United States. However, Biden's latest action raises further issues.

  • Woke decree: Tech businesses are required to "address algorithmic discrimination" and "ensure that AI advances equity," according to an executive order signed by President Joe Biden recently. AI may "deepen discrimination, bias, and other abuses in justice, healthcare, and housing," according to the Biden administration.

How other people are using AI: British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak recently convened a conference to explore the potential of AI with significant tech businesses and governments. There, companies like Google and Amazon consented to provide governments with information about novel AI models before making them available to the general public.

Applications in the military: AI is being utilized in the Ukraine to assist in the analysis of satellite footage and the identification of targets. Nuclear weapons systems, armed robot dogs, and autonomous drones have all been developed or are in the works.

Close up: Using AI, a team of researchers discovered a novel antibiotic that may eradicate bacteria resistant to existing ones. In just three days, it was able to scan over 100 million possible drug compounds.

2024 ELECTION

Muslims might influence the 2024 Election

Here is what's going on: Muslims in the Democratic Party base are furious with President Joe Biden for his pro-Israel stance. Muslims are generally devoted Democrats, but an increasing number of local authorities are cautioning that the White House's backing of Israel is driving away its Arab supporters.

The figures: According to data from the Arab American Institute, 59% of Arab voters supported Biden in 2020. According to a fresh poll conducted by the same organization on Tuesday, this support has drastically decreased to 17%, a 42-point decline.

Why it's important: Less than 1.1 million Muslims cast ballots in 2020, according to the Muslim activism group Emgage. This represents a small percentage of the projected 158 million votes cast. Nevertheless, the overrepresentation of Muslims in a few crucial swing states may still be sufficient to influence the 2024 election.

Arizona: There are somewhat less than 110,000 Muslims in Arizona. Statewide, Biden prevailed by about 10,500 votes.

Georgia: The estimated number of Muslims in Georgia is 123,000. Biden won the state by a margin of fewer than 12,000 votes.

Michigan: An estimated 240,000 Muslims reside in Michigan. In 2020, Biden won there by a margin of almost 150,000 votes.

Notably, the GOP backs Israel more than Biden does. Therefore, even though Muslim voters may be losing interest in the president, this does not guarantee that they will support the Republican Party.

And yet: Biden would suffer a serious setback even if Muslims merely remained at home. Losing a significant swing-state voting bloc could eliminate his chances of winning a second term in a close contest.
