🗳 Colorado's elimination of the Trump ballot encourages other states. Eleni Kounalakis, the lieutenant governor of California, instructed her secretary of state to “explore every legal option” to remove Trump from the state's primary ballot in 2024. Dan Patrick, the lieutenant governor of Texas, added that Biden's candidacy should be disqualified but made it clear that "we believe in democracy in Texas." The Supreme Court has not yet said that it will consider the Colorado decision in opposition to Trump.

🔍 The Biden administration is connected to the Colorado Trump challenge. The Daily Caller discovered that the leader of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), the organization that filed a lawsuit to have Trump removed from Colorado ballots, is a member of the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) advisory board. Noah Bookbinder, the president and CEO of CREW, previously served as a prosecutor in the Justice Department and donated to former President Barack Obama.

🇨🇳 China threatens to take back Taiwan and warns the US. According to current and former U.S. officials, Chinese President Xi Jinping assured President Joe Biden at their recent meeting that China will peacefully reunite with Taiwan. According to NBC News, Jinping vowed that the takeover would not be "forceful," but he did not specify when. This occurred just one month before Taiwan, a democratic ally of the United States, had an important election.

What has the media been talking about recently

If Trump is kept off the ballot, the Colorado GOP says it will "convert to a pure caucus system" and withdraw from the state's primary.

CNN notes that the president of Harvard has not addressed "her clearest instances of plagiarism" in her corrections, citing her time as a student in the 1990s among other examples.

If Trump is not permitted to run in Colorado's GOP primary, Ron DeSantis says he won't drop out because "that's just playing into the left."

House Republicans are already looking into claims that Claudine Gay, the president of Harvard University, plagiarized.

Here is what’s going on: Emails from Hunter Biden's laptop that revealed how he profited worldwide from selling his last name were made public three years ago. Since then, Republican lawmakers have worked to determine whether President Joe Biden may have acted corruptly about these issues; this year, they will begin the process of impeachment. This is what we currently know.

The "brand": During Joe Biden's vice presidency, foreign oligarchs and businessmen from China, Ukraine, Russia, Romania, and Kazakhstan gave the Biden family at least $20 million, mostly through Hunter.

• The product: Emails and written declarations from Hunter's business associates claim that Hunter set up meetings or correspondence with his father. There is scant to no proof that Hunter provided anyone with honest services.

• The customers: Numerous affluent foreign nationals have at some point in their lives faced allegations of corruption or been found guilty of crimes. A few have strong ties to the CCP, the Chinese Communist Party.

• At home: Using his political ties, a U.S. firm paid President Biden's brother James to get an investment from the Middle East. James has made decades-long financial gains from his relationship with his brother, as is widely established.

The profit: Emails and bank records reveal that in 2017, Hunter preserved ten percent of a Chinese transaction for his father, which the family sent straight to Joe via many bank accounts. Before the funds were channeled, the bank accounts were practically empty. Additionally, James provided Joe Biden with the $200,000 he was paid for selling influence.

• The pay: In a previous text message, Hunter claimed that "Pop" forced him to give up "half" of his earnings.

Biden's alleged foreign connections and bribes

Here is what’s going on: A $5 million bribe is said to have been offered to Joe Biden by a Ukrainian executive while he was vice president, according to an informant who spoke with the FBI.

• The whole story: The informant stated that the executive was afraid that criminal activities might be revealed by a prosecutor looking into his company. The executive claimed that Hunter, a worker at the company, would "take care" of the matter "through his dad."

• Important to note: If this informant lied to federal investigators, they would be breaking the law. They had been a reliable FBI source for more than ten years.

Is Joe Biden under duress? Vice President Biden then refused to give Ukraine loan money until the prosecutor was dismissed. Other American officials disagreed with Biden's assertion that the prosecutor was corrupt and did not want him removed. Moreover, Biden is removing the name of a Russian oligarch off the list of sanctioned individuals after reports of their dinner and her payment to his son.

• Secrecy: As vice president, Biden exchanged thousands of emails using aliases, according to the National Archives. In one email, he is seen telling his son about impending meetings with political figures, such as the president of Ukraine at the time, and other official matters.

• Defenses offered by Joe Biden include the unfounded allegations that there was a "complete wall" separating him and Hunter's business dealings, that Hunter never made money in China, and that he never discussed "anything having to do with Ukraine."

• Shifting the goalposts: Biden was never "in business" with his son, according to the White House, which previously said he never "discussed" business with him.
