Two justice systems and Trumpâs mug shot
According to a report by the FBI, Joe Biden was bought by a Ukrainian firm.
In order to prevent a prosecutor from looking into the company, a Burisma Holdings executive, the employer of Hunter Biden, allegedly paid Vice President Joe Biden $5 million in bribes. The FBI has consented to the investigation's three-year extension.
(June 9, 2023) Trump's first federal indictment
Former President Donald Trump was indicted by a federal grand jury for handling secret documents.
Hunter Biden and the prosecution come to a "sweetheart deal" (June 20, 2023). If Trump or another Republican won the 2024 election and launched a thorough criminal probe into the Biden family, it would provide Hunter Biden with an additional layer of defense, according to Politico.
(July 26, 2023) Hunter's plea agreement for full immunity fails. "Substantial disagreements over the scope of the immunity provision" caused the agreement to fall through.
(July 27, 2023) The second indictment of Trump
Trump is now facing three further allegations from the Department of Justice for handling secret documents.
Joe Biden's involvement in international business activities is revealed through testimony (July 31, 2023). Devon Archer, a former business partner of Hunter Biden, said that during conversations with international business contacts over a ten-year period, Hunter put his father on speakerphone at least 20 times.
(August 1, 2023) The third indictment of Trump
Trump's efforts to redress what he claims was a stolen election in 2020 led to his indictment.
(August 9, 2023) More foreign payments to the Bidens are revealed. A House report said that Joe Biden used his family as a "vehicle to receive bribery payments" from dishonest oligarchs and individuals connected to the Chinese government.
Hunter's case has a special attorney who supports Biden assigned to it (August 11, 2023). In light of evidence that David Weiss permitted the DOJ to hinder investigations into the first son, the DOJ appointed Weiss as special counsel. Weiss was responsible for the lenient plea agreement. It is against the norms for special counsels for him to have official government positions.
Additional evidence supports the DOJ's obstructive behavior (August 14, 2023). According to an FBI agent, investigators were prohibited from entering Hunter Biden's home and were unable to conduct a scheduled interview.
(August 14, 2023) The fourth indictment of Trump
The argument in the lawsuit is that Trump's attempts to have the Georgia election results thrown out were illegal conspiracies.
The former president, identified is taken into custody in a Fulton County jail (August 24, 2023)."Inmate No. P01135809," the former president, poses for a photograph.

Elon Musk continues to be a target of the federal government
Here is whatâs going on: Elon Musk, a billionaire, and his business SpaceX are being sued by the Department of Justice for allegedly discriminating against immigrants in hiring practices. According to Musk, SpaceX "was told repeatedly" that, in accordance with national security laws, it could only hire permanent U.S. citizens. Another space engineering company's co-founder concurred and labeled the lawsuit as "corrupt."
Why it is important: Since he bought Twitter, Musk's relationship with the government has gotten worse. Musk's free speech concept for the platform was vehemently rejected by President Joe Biden and his administration. The administration was then politically damaged by Musk's revelation of the Twitter Files, which exposed the administration's involvement in the widespread suppression.
More details: The action, according to Musk, is an act of retaliation and "another case of weaponization of the DOJ for political purposes." The White House denounced Musk as anti-union even before he bought Twitter because he had harshly assailed the Democratic leadership of Biden and other Democrats.
The case is political: The Biden appointee who chose to sue SpaceX has consistently argued for social media platform control and blasted Musk's fortune as a result of "inequality" in America.
Zoom out: Shortly after Musk's takeover, Biden's Federal Trade Commission began looking into Twitter, citing purported data security issues. Sworn testimony claims that the FTC surreptitiously attempted to get a consulting firm to publish a critical analysis of Twitter.

What do residents of New York think of illegal immigration?
Here is whatâs going on: An enormous surge of illegal immigrants in the state is turning New Yorkers, even liberals, against Democrats on immigration, a new poll reveals.
By the numbers: According to 82% of New Yorkers, the surge of illegal immigrants is a major issue. In New York, 58% of residentsâincluding 48% of Democratsâwant to slow immigration.
Why it is important: Republicans frequently bring up the issues related to immigration. Democrats are finding it more difficult to ignore them.
Keep up: At least 90,000 illegal immigrants have arrived in New York City since last spring. By 2025, the city may have spent $12 billion on the migrants, and other resources are also at a premium.
Democratic infighting: As a result of the problem, Mayor Eric Adams and Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul are at odds because Adams is sending migrants to other parts of the state. While both Hochul and Adams' approval ratings are declining, they have criticized Biden.
More details revealed: In New York, Democrats' winning margins might be dwindling. In the closest governor's contest in years last year, Hochul prevailed by just 5 percentage points. Immigration could endanger liberal state authority if it is added to the mix.
Zoom out: The majority of voters favor immigration restrictions and want to see illegal immigration reduced. Most Hispanic Floridians were among the majority who backed Governor Ron DeSantis' decision to fly migrants to Martha's Vineyard. The majority of Texans likewise backed Gov. Greg Abbot's comparable action.
