It would appear like Ron DeSantis’s bid for the presidency is gaining a lot of steam these days. Many knowledgeable people have spent many months speculating about DeSantis’s future plans. There are those inside the Republican Party who believe that this emerging star has what it takes to defeat Joe Biden and win back the White House. However, Donald Trump continues to receive a significant amount of support from his legions of admirers all around the country.

What it will truly come down to, though, is a fight for control of the primaries in each individual state. What do voters think of the two guys, as well as all of the other candidates running for the GOP nomination? Over a thousand residents of Florida were queried by a single polling firm on their opinions. And the results caused widespread confusion across the nation.

I have no doubt that Donald Trump has already begun discussing this. A survey was conducted by Big Data in the state of Florida among 1,236 primary voters. And according to the people who responded, Trump is currently ahead by a margin of 52.5 percent, with DeSantis trailing him by twenty points with 32.6 percent.

It’s possible that this is not what folks were anticipating to hear from DeSantis’ home state. In the state of Florida, support for DeSantis is over the roof. He shifted the once-competitive state’s political landscape to make it completely Republican. He has won a number of legislative successes, many of which have infuriated those on the left but have been well-received by citizens. In addition, he won reelection in 2022 with an overwhelming majority of one million votes.

Could it be that the people of Florida don’t want DeSantis to become president because they want him to remain in office? In spite of this, it is clear that Trump enjoys a significant advantage in the state. Gaining the necessary support to win the Florida primary elections will need a significant amount of work from DeSantis. Voting in the primaries, however, will begin in states such as Iowa and New Hampshire.

A wave of momentum can be ridden all the way to the nomination by the candidate who is successful in gaining support in the early primary states. The most important question is, of course, who is capable of defeating Joe Biden in the race for the presidency. Trump or DeSantis is the choice. Voters will be responsible for providing their own responses to the question.
